Run the race with Thanks!
Let’s end this year strong with our fourth quarter Fast From Wrong Thinking and Confession which begins November 1!
Grace and peace be unto you!
As you all know Spiritual growth is so important on this journey God has given us. As Believers in The Lord Jesus Christ, we have been chosen by God to be His workmanship in the earth; therefore let us be prepared for everything that life sends our way. We kicked-off our in-depth fourth Saturdays “Toolbox” study with the first four chapters of Romans. We’ll keep discussing our way through Romans, and Hebrews and Galatians too! This study is mandatory for Elders and Ministers but the full ministry body is welcome to study as well.
John 15:16 says: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
2 Timothy 2:15 says: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth
The 2012 Believers Meeting | October 4-5 and 7
Thanks be to God, His mercy endures forever! In 2012, we added Google+ technology so that you could participate in our Believers Hangout, or create your own spaces, to share what you received from the 2012 Believers Meeting. Thanks for letting everyone know Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
Awesome Kingdom Servers
Thank you to the men of In Christ New Hope Ministry who gave of their time and culinary talent to prepare, organize and serve a very tasty meal to close out the women’s conference hosted by Elders Cherri Hawkins and Ruby Martinez and Sister Arlene Caine (May 18-19, 2012 at Wilson Academy). Before the meal, a very lovely interlude was presented by these two artists (among many others with wonderful gifts of ministry who were in attendance); enjoy!
The view from Heaven
The big footprint with the distinctive blue center flanked by white wings belongs to the Campus at In Christ rising.
Adjacent to the large grove of trees are the two car garage (mid-point, far right), and the existing church (the “T” shape just down from the garage) which will be available to our Youth Ministry. The new facility is five times larger than the current facility.
When the Campus opens, seating for 400 will be available. We look forward to welcoming our community into this next level of worship and dedication to the Word of God.
Congratulations are in order!
Elder Tyrone Reaves was appointed one of 19 general members to sit on Governor Andrew Cuomo’s newly minted Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council. According to the RBJ article, there will be 10 such councils around the state and each will vie for “$1 billion in state funding for economic development projects.” We bless the Lord God for Elder Ty, this “sought out one,” whose prayers on, over and for the council and its work give to our heavenly Father a vehicle to ensure the prosperity of western New York.
Construction News: Glass and Steel
As you may have noticed, the windows for The Campus at In Christ are going in! Did you likewise notice that those inner panes form a cross? Actually, the design incorporates a number of cross effects to echo the very prominent cross that graces the front of the edifice. Let us know how many you’ve seen or add your name to the “Tour Sign-up” sheet in the foyer. Watch | bonus video.
This photo (at right) of a private residence on East Avenue shows the corrugated steel facing that will be used on our site. Though the homeowners used it in several colors, we will be maximizing the traditional steel color which may remind you of Revelation 1:16, Hebrews 4:12 and Ephesians 6:17. What other Scriptures come to mind for you?
The Great CommissionThen the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:16-20)
Did you know that the In Christ New Hope Ministry blog has readers in every state of the American nation? That means we are broadly assisting all those who take the Great Commission to heart. Each time our Highways & Byways ministry goes out, the blog is a ready resource for them to “leave behind” as seed for a powerful harvest in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every time our Pastors and other ministry gifts teach the Word of God, the blog brings a part of the Message to a thirsty world. Just this month, a thirsty heart reached out — from Ethiopia — to receive the infilling of the Person of the Holy Spirit. The prayer of receiving on our teaching website was sent and, as revealed in Isaiah 55, we know that God’s word will not return to Him void. Join in the Great Commission: share and subscribe to our blog.
John Mathis, Dancing In The Newness of Life
My physical life has been torn upside down numerous times and I dance, my days have been long and weary and I dance, my body has been beaten, bruised, sore and regenerate and I dance; however my spirit has never danced. My spirit has been trapped behind the sins that a young boy –who now searches for his manhood– was taught to live life everyday as if it was his last. Through the word of God, my spirit has been set free and I dance. Through the word of God, I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me so I dance in the Spirit knowing that with God I will live for eternity. So I dance.
Romans 12:1-2 (Wuest’s Expanded Translation)
“I, therefore beg of you, please, brethren, through the instrumentality of the aforementioned mercies of God, by a once for all presentation to place your bodies at the disposal of God, a sacrifice, a living one, a holy one, well pleasing, your rational, sacred service (rational in that this service is performed by the exercise of the mind).”“And stop assuming an outward expression that does not come from within you and is not representative of what you are in your inner being, but is patterned after this age. But change your outward expression to one that comes from within and is representative of your being, by the renewing of your mind, resulting in your putting to the test what is the will of God, the good and well pleasing and complete will and having found that it meets specifications, place your approval upon it.”
