  1. Shawnice,
Eric and I really appreicate yours and Will’s support of the Marriage Ministry and we really enjoyed Will’s signature Ribs. :-)
The family fellowship was great and it was great to get to know other couples.
In regards to a retreat…I agree let’s start planning! If you have any suggestions concerning retreat locations and when is a good time to have a retreat please let me know. We will keep everyone posted but we welcome your input. Blessings!

  2. The family celebration was a lot of fun! Having opportunities to get to know other couples in the church is priceless. I’m looking forward to the next retreat….hint, hint, Cathy and Eric! Let’s get it started!!

  3. My wife Sheila and I would have loved to attend the “Art of Marriage” Conference held on February 11th and 12th. However, we had a conflict as I was out of town. We would be delighted in attending any future conferences, presentations, or classes held with this subject matter, “The Art of Marriage”. Please advise, as we are looking forward to being enriched by the Word of GOD through this Ministry.
    To GOD Be the Glory….

  4. My wife and I have truly been blessed to join a ministry that takes marriage so seriously. We had an amazing time at the marriage retreat. It had a very romantic atmosphere. We were able to open up to other couples about our issues and receive Godly advice. We then were able to help other couples with problems we had already overcome. It was so peaceful! The food was good and plentiful!!! We did some fishing, boating, and bond fires. We even got a few games of pool in. (I beat a well known member of our church lol….) During our time of sharing what we learned from our homework, it was truly a blessing to hear the maturity in the couples. As the couples spoke you could feel their love for one another. It’s nice to see people loving each other so openly. Not something you see much in everyday life. I look forward to future fellowships!

  5. Lakeia what a beautiful testimony of your Love of the Father God but also your love and your committment for your marriage covenant. God is so big and through our marriage covenant He wants us to be examples to other couples. We are charged to show love, operate in love and commit ourselves to loving one another God’s way.

I am so excited about what is to come in 2010 within the Marriage Enrichment. Continue to be obedient in the Word of God and yes the book the “Powering of a Praying Wife” will keep you focus on God’s love and His plan and purpose in your life.

    Blessings and Love,

  6. We have learned so much. Where do I start Cathy? My husband and I have been married for 1 whole year and 9 months. Thank you Jesus. I remember us always confessing we are going to be happy. Even though my husband thought it would take 10 years before we got to that point. That’s just too long for me. It reads in Psalms 1:3b whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. That’s talking about now not 10 years in your walk with God. But God was there and our awesome teacher and Pastor and Min. Madell always remind us about marriage enrichment fellowship.

Proverbs 1:5 says: A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. We can’t do it by ourselves. We have been blessed by the marriage enrichment fellowship in so many ways. I can remember a time we shared in washing of the feet and communion and just confessing some things into our spouse’s life; it was just a time of peace. We have been given points on communication because men are from mars and women are from venus. We confess to one another that love endures long, is patient and kind, will never be envious nor boil over with jealousy, is not boastful or arrogant and does no display itself haughtily, is not conceited or inflated with pride, is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly, (because God’s love is in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, is not self-seeking, is not touchy, faultfinding or easily provoked to anger, takes no account of evil done to it (it pays no attention to a suffered wrong), does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail, bears up under anything and everything that comes our way, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and endures everything without weakening. Our Love never fails, never fades out or becomes obsolete nor comes to and END…..

Because we invest in our marriage it’s been blessed. We have to do something in order for something to happen. Invest in your marriage and you will be blessed.
    Love ya

  7. My husband and I have received so much from the Marriage Enrichment fellowships. We have been married for 23 years but within these last couple of years our marriage has gone to another level in Christ Jesus. We have learned so much from other couples at the Marriage Enrichment fellowship through our times of sharing and from the teaching of Pastor and Minister Madell and others.
Eric and I have made a conscious decision to work on our communication since attending the marriage fellowships. There are times that we have “intense time of fellowship”. Eric will say “Cathy we are bigger than this and let’s not let the enemy come between us.” I love it because our minds are renewed by the Word of God. We have control over our thought process and because the Word says in 1 John 4:4 -Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
How has the Marriage Enrichment enriched your marriage? Let’s continue to share so that all marriages are built upon a solid foundation and moving with the Lord Jesus Christ.
    Blessings and Love,
    Cathy Little
