Making Our Confession of Faith

Sermon Highlights

Making Our Confession of Faith
Called “The Great Confession,” Christianity exhorts believers to confess the same thing that God says (in the context of the New Testament) or to agree with what God says about us in His Word.
If you don’t know who you are in Christ Jesus, when you meet yourself in the Bible, you won’t recognize yourself. As a believing believer, you know and declare that:

I am reconciled to God

I am a son (or daughter) of the Most High God

I am a new creature in Christ Jesus

I am chosen by God

I am the temple of the Holy Spirit

I am strong in the Lord and the power of His might

I am a partaker of His Divine Nature
Jesus was what He confessed; for example, I am the Light, the Truth, and the Way. You are also the sum total of what you have been confessing with your lips and believing in your heart. If you don’t like what you see in the mirror, change your confession.
For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23
